A day’s work with the saltworker, in the ancient Camillone saltworks
In the summer, in the central months of July and August, when the climate allows the preparation and collection of salt, every Tuesday it is possible to spend an afternoon in salt, side by side with the saltworker, working with them and learning a little about that ancient art that has allowed the production of white gold for centuries.
Participants take part in the salt extraction and transport activities. This is an absolutely unique opportunity to experience the thrill of dressing as salinar and experimenting in Cervia, in the evocative atmosphere of the extraordinary saline of Cervia, the magic of “sweet” salt harvesting, as well as the life of the salt workers.
The experience also offers the possibility of knowing episodes of life, stories and anecdotes directly from those who lived them. At the end, delivery of the participation certificate which will remain in memory and testimony of this unique experience.
Who is salinar for one day?
The initiative is suitable for people from 15 to 90 years in small groups.
